About Client
The client is a leading US-based commercial insurance carrier that offers risk management and insurance solutions to support businesses in reducing financial risks associated with workplace incidents. They also provide general liability insurance for third-party claims related to bodily injury, property damage, or other liabilities that may happen during business operations.
Client’s Problem Statement
- The client was migrating from their in-house legacy platform to the Majesco Insurance Platform. The process involved completing the migration of the integrated policy, billing, distribution management, and agent portal environment to the new insurance platform, which required end-to-end testing cycles.
- Although the client was migrating to a Majesco platform, they were still performing functional testing based on its legacy systems. The requirement was to validate the new platform’s domain-specific functionalities as per their business criteria.
- As there was no automation maturity during migration, the client was concerned about its application status in the SIT environment after the new platform delivered the build from the internal QA environment.
Solutions Offered
Tx worked closely with the client and their in-house teams, understood their business needs, and was involved in the testing activities for the system-integration-testing (SIT) environment. Line of Business (LOBs) that were part of this test engagement were Workers’ Compensation, General Liability, and Surplus across Billing, Policy, and Distribution Management. Our professional QA team assisted the client achieve the following requirements:
- Successfully validated the deployed user stories across SIT after creating and executing the test cases
- Leveraged tools like JIRA and Adobe Acrobat Pro version and performed unit testing. SIT, user acceptance testing during the migration process
- Enabled stories deployment that were fully functional and released only those working with respect to acceptance criteria
- Implemented automation to reduce the manual test run/execution time and automated the smoke suite of different modules (Policy Admin System, Billing, Distribution Management)
- Leveraged our in-house accelerators, like Tx-Automate, to speed up the testing process

- 90% reduction in testing efforts with our in-house accelerator
- 100 regression suite automation by implementing the domain expertise
- 30% faster test execution by implementing Playwright for the automation test scripts, which increased the execution speed of the automation suite on which the client was facing slowness for remote execution of scripts
- Detailed weekly status report inclusive of progress details of in-sprint items (test design and execution, bug report for open bugs) and planned for upcoming sprints
- Ensured functional stability of the SIT environment
